On this episode, we meet Dr. Brett Wilkinson. He is an Assistant Professor of Counselor Education at Purdue University Fort Wayne. His research priorities include integrative aspects of cognitive complexity in counselor preparation and practice; phenomenological pedagogy and research; humanistic training methods and models; therapeutic change mechanisms; and metacognitive supervision strategies. Dr. Wilkinson introduces listeners to phenomenology as both a philosophy and method. We discuss the value of the subjective experience in both research and the counselor-client relationship.
